DACHSER Supply Chain Forum in South of India

More than 60 customers from DACHSER Chennai and other parts of Southern India followed the invitation to join an interactive session at the DACHSER Supply Chain Forum Chennai. The event built an excellent platform for attendants to exchange information and industry trends.

Team DACHSER behind the successful Interlocking event in Chennai, India

Following the success of last year’s Supply Chain Forum in Pune, this year’s event was held in Chennai on November 23, 2018. The DACHSER Asia Pacific top management came together with selected key customers from the manufacturing industry for addressing crucial topics of supply chain management. The high participation rate, including customers from farther cities like Bangalore or Hyderabad, reflected the relevance of the session.

Interlock logistics networks to optimize the supply chain

Mr. Edoardo Podestá, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Asia Pacific, and Mr. Gandhi, presented how to interlock logistics networks intelligently to optimize the supply chain. A long-term oriented IT strategy and innovative logistics solutions are among the important success factors that make DACHSER ready for today’s requirements Mr. Gandhi used the opportunity to share insights about DACHSER India’s IT projects. The roll-out the company’s worldwide air and sea transport management system Othello will lead to much more visibility and consistent data for supply chain analysis in future.

The attendants were highly interested to gain insights in topics like certifications, Industry 4.0 or horizontal integration in logistics during the Q&A session. The discussions were kept alive for much longer over dinner.
