DACHSER India implements end-to-end project cargo movement to Japan
DACHSER India has successfully executed a prestigious project shipment for a multinational packaging solutions provider, involving a complex multimodal movement from India to Japan. The oversized cargo with a length of over 1,500 cm, was moved with precise planning and coordination across teams and geographies.
The shipment was picked up from Pune and transported by road to Chennai, following detailed route and road surveys due to the oversized nature of the cargo. After navigating all logistical and operational modalities, the cargo was successfully loaded onto a RORO vessel from Chennai to Yokohama, Japan.
To ensure timely and safe delivery to the final destination at Kushiro Port, located on Hokkaido Island, a dedicated charter vessel for the last mile ocean transport from Yokohama was arranged. This tailormade solution showcased the team's agility and commitment to delivering complex cargo under demanding timelines.
