In its sixth year, the DACHSER Asia Pacific Management Trainee program has proven to be a valuable pipeline to hone future leaders. Rooted in DACHSER's six values of entrepreneurship and the courage to innovate, inclusive responsibility, sustainability, loyalty and commitment, integrity and honesty, as well as openness and respect, the program is designed to empower young talent with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to excel in the logistics industry.
Well-structured program building excellence
The initiative offers a structured curriculum that combines training, hands-on experience, and exposure to various departments within the Asia Pacific organization. This ensures trainees acquire a well-rounded understanding of air and sea logistics operations, business development, supply chain management, tender management and more.

Over the past few months, DACHSER’s logistics center in Bremen, Germany has expanded its handling area in preparation for future growth. With floor space of around 3,300 sqm, the extension building for the European Logistics business line now offers more space for handling industrial and consumer goods. The additional floor space on Senator-Blase-Str. was brought into operation at the beginning of January.
Logistics provider DACHSER has started construction on a new branch in Kassel, the economic center of northern Hesse. Located in the Lohfelden commercial zone, the new transit terminal for industrial goods with adjacent offices is due for completion by summer 2021. In the medium term, the new branch will create roughly 200 jobs.
India Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment (SCMT) Regulations
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs in India has advised that the implementation of the India SCMT regulations will be effective from August 1, 2019. It is now compulsory for all shipping lines, importers and exporters to adhere to the defined timelines for manifest filing of all the cargo on a vessel to and from an Indian port.
The rule is applicable for all cargo transshipping, discharging and moving via any Indian port.
Departure Manifest: Export manifest is now required to be submitted to Indian customs prior to the departure of the vessel from any Port of Loading in India.
Arrival Manifest: Import Manifest is now required to be submitted to India customs prior to the departure of the vessel from the last foreign port of call.
